US Domestic Market Fails to Push Values Higher – Except for E175

July 19, 2021

The U.S. domestic market continues to enjoy considerable demand and this has enabled operators to place many more regional jets back into service. Breeze has a number of E190s ready to enter service. There are some 2,000 active regional jets in North America with another 300 being inactive. The same cannot be said for the rest of the world. There are some 1,600 active regional jets active outside of North America versus another 500 that are in active. Approximately 25 percent of the regional jets outside of North America therefore remain inactive compared to fifteen percent. The regional jet market may have long been dominated by the U.S. but this does not necessarily mean that values should enjoy comparative strength. The number of transactions involving used regional jets remains subdued even in the U.S.
