Retirements Ease Below Ten Year Trend for 2018

The retirement (including those written off) of aircraft averaged 600 per annum between 2009-2018 but in 2018 this fell to 556 illustrating that operators are either retaining older equipment due to limited availability of new equipment or that those that remain in service are still sufficiently efficient to warrant retention.
