Boeing Keeps B747 Production Going, But at What Price?

For Boeing to maintain production of the B747 until the arrival of the B747-400X, the manufacturer must push for sales of even more freighters. But to encourage customers to opt for the existing model rather than wait for the newer example -- or opt for Boeing's B777-200LRF or Airbus's A380 -- Boeing likely will have to provide some hefty discounting of the purchase price.
