Market Presence. The ATR72-500 is well established among a large number of operators. The values of the -500 have not been adversely impacted by the arrival of the -600. Even when becoming available, placing used -500s has been easy when compared to many other types. The relatively high lease rental factors, combined with strong residual values, has persuaded a number of independent lessors to participate in the market such that the manufacturer has not been responsible for managing the used market for a number of years.
