Market Presence. The -300ER is in demand once again – unfortunately this is not because of the recovery of the international market but is due to the airfreight market. The value of the feedstock, at least in terms of those being suitable for conversion, has even perhaps risen. There are ever more slated for conversion but there is a concern as to how long the aircraft will be viable in their new role. The cost of interior refurbishment of the passenger -300ERs and restoration to an airworthy condition may be too much for some operators. There also exists considerable emphasis on streamlining the fleet composition.
