Market Presence. The number of orders for the CRJ1000 was disappointing with the number of operators also severely limited. There are six operators which means that remarketing is difficult as a new operator will incur costs associated with supporting the aircraft. There was always expected to be a limited number of orders given the prescriptive nature of scope clauses in the US but with only 65 orders from four customers the outcome has been less than encouraging. Even the order for 12 units from Nordic Aviation Capital did little to improve the operator base.
