Rise in A340-500 Weight Causes Problems for Existing Units’ Values

Values of existing Airbus A340-500s featuring a MTOW of 372 tons are likely to feature a modest discount approximating 1 percent now that the manufacturer has opted to increase the weight to 380 tons, the same weight to be featured on the A340-600 due in service in 2006.
